This is why carbon monoxide safety and awareness has been one of TSSA's most significant, risk-informed strategies for many years.
As a leading cause of accidental poisonings in Ontario, awareness of the potential for carbon monoxide poisoning associated with the use of fuel-burning appliances in the home is a top priority for TSSA's consumer safety efforts. To this end, TSSA runs public awareness and advocacy campaigns for tackling this user-related risk.
