New platform enhances technical capabilities and alignment with the BPV COI Client Portal for Owners & Insurers

May 15, 2025

The Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) is migrating the BPV Certificate of Inspection (COI) Portals for Owners and Insurers to a new platform. The existing platform on which the BPV COI Portals are hosted will no longer be supported by Microsoft.

Moving the BPV COI Portals to the new platform that is also used by the Client Portal will:

  • Improve the technical capabilities of the BPV COI Portals
  • Support evolving business needs by allowing for new features to improve functionality
  • Simplify operations by aligning access between the BPV COI Portals and the TSSA Client Portal

Key Dates
The platform migration will be completed on June 9, 2025. In preparation for this migration, please note that the existing BPV COI Portals will be unavailable from Sunday, June 1, 6 p.m. EST to Monday, June 9, 8 a.m. EST. For urgent matters or to report high-risk violations during the Portal transition period, please email bpvcustomerservice@tssa.org.

We strongly encourage customers to plan ahead and do transactions before the scheduled migration starting on June 1, 2025.

What’s New
Once hosted on the new platform, the BPV COI Portals for Owners and Insurers will offer the following new features:

  • Single Sign In: Users only need to sign in once when navigating between the BPV COI Portals and the TSSA Client Portal.

  • Simplified Bulk-Cancellation for Insurers: Insurers will be able to use a search function within the portal to submit bulk-cancellation requests for inventories they are no longer responsible for, eliminating the need for uploading Excel files.

  • Bulk Approval of Records of Inspection (ROI): Owners and operators will be able to approve and pay for ROIs in bulk instead of individually.

  • Streamlined Payment: The payment process in the BPV COI Portals for Owners will be streamlined with the simpler and user-friendlier process of the Client Portal.

  • Improved User Experience and Interface: Users will experience a cleaner interface and more modernized look and feel (see screenshots below):
