COVID-19 Exam Protocol:
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the examination process has been modified to stop the spread of COVID-19. Examination candidates must be aware of these changes, as outlined below:
- All examination candidates are required to wear a non-medical mask at all times during the examination process. You must bring your own non-medical mask. TSSA will not provide masks or personal protective equipment on the day of your examination.
- Entry into the examination room will not be permitted without a non-medical mask.
- Should you have a medical condition that would prevent you from wearing a mask, please contact the Examination Services team.
- TSSA will no longer provide reference materials or code books for Operating Engineers/Operator (“OE”) examinations.
- Candidates will be responsible to bring their own reference materials/code books. More information on the permitted materials for OE examinations can be found in the TSSA Certification Examination Preparation Guide.
- TSSA will not provide any stationary/writing utensils necessary for the examination.
- Candidates will be responsible to bring in their own materials, including pencils, pens, erasers, a ruler/protractor, and a non-programmable calculator.
- Multiple choice examinations must be completed in pencil, we recommend bringing multiple pencils and erasers to the examination.
