COVID-19 Exam Protocol:
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the examination process has been modified to stop the spread of COVID-19. Examination candidates must be aware of these changes, as outlined below:
- TSSA Head Office is still closed to the Public.
- TSSA/HUBS will not provide reference materials or code books for Operating Engineers/Operator (“OE”) examinations.
- Candidates will be responsible to bring their own reference materials/code books. More information on the permitted materials for OE examinations can be found in the TSSA Certification Examination Preparation Guide.
- TSSA/HUBS will not provide any stationary/writing utensils necessary for the examination.
- Candidates will be responsible to bring in their own materials, including pencils, pens, erasers, a ruler/protractor, and a non-programmable calculator.
- Multiple choice examinations must be completed in pencil, we recommend bringing multiple pencils and erasers to the examination.

Examination Centres |
The resumption of in-person examinations will have a phased approach to ensure the health and safety of examination candidates, invigilators and TSSA team members. For the initial phase of examinations, hub cities have been established for TSSA examinations, based on geography and accessibility of venues with spaces that can accommodate social distancing.
