New enhancements to the Boilers and Pressure Vessels (BPV) Certificate of Inspection (COI) Portal will provide owners with greater visibility into the status of their equipment. The enhancements will be available on the BPV COI Owners’ Portal on September 21, 2026.
The enhancements are part of TSSA's ongoing BPV COI process improvement initiative and are the first changes ahead of a broader suite of improvements planned for next year. The updated BPV COI Portal for Owners gives access to more detailed information about their equipment so owners can take timely action and comply with regulatory requirements.
Improved Visibility into Equipment and Compliance Status
BPV owners can now access additional information about their equipment through the BPV COI Portal for Owners, including:
Equipment Status: A new information icon offering definitions for the various status categories has been added to “Equipment Status” to support greater clarity and understanding.
COI Expiry Date: A new “COI Expiry Date” column has been added to the inventory page, making it easier for owners to monitor upcoming certificate renewals.
Violations: Owners can now view violations identified during inspections along with the compliance due date.
New Features Improve User Experience
In addition to enhanced visibility, the BPV COI Portal for Owners now includes several new features designed to simplify common tasks and improve the user experience:
Bulk COI Downloads: Owners can download multiple COIs at once, eliminating the need to retrieve certificates individually.
Equipment Tag (Optional): Owners can now enter the equipment tag directly in the BPV COI Portal without a Record of Inspection from insurers. The equipment tag helps owners and inspectors identify equipment during periodic inspections.
Enhanced Inventory Search: New filtering capabilities help owners locate and manage inventory more efficiently.
Authorization and ROI Details: Owners can now view authorization and Record of Inspection information under the detailed view of each equipment record.
