Under the MOU, the TSSA may enter into non-regulatory business arrangements that promote and enhance public safety, consistent with its vision and mission; Schedule A - Summary of Additional Objects of the Corporation of the MOU summarizes the non-regulatory safety services the TSSA may provide; Schedule B - Non-Regulatory Business Policy ("the Policy") of the MOU outlines the requirements and the principles that the TSSA must comply with throughout the lifecycle of nonregulatory safety services. TSSA Response to Auditor General Recommendations |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
TSSA takes its accountability for administering Ontario’s public safety mandate very seriously. We are fully committed to our transformation, and to sharing our priorities and progress in a fulsome and transparent manner. On December 5, 2018 the Auditor General of Ontario (AGO) issued her annual report, including the results of 15 value-for-money audits across Ontario. In her report, the AGO made 19 recommendations to strengthen TSSA’s ability to effectively fulfil our mandate. The 17 recommendations that pertained directly to TSSA are noted below, along with our progress to date. TSSA fully participated in this review process and immediately took steps to address the recommendations in the AGO’s report. Importantly, the recommendations aligned with TSSA’s strategic plan and through our plan, we will address all of the auditor general’s recommendations.
