New Process to Schedule Fuel Inspections Starting April 18
The Technical Standards and Safety Authority’s (TSSA) Fuels program has successfully transitioned to an upgraded IT solution on March 1, 2022. With the completion of this transition, Fuel customers should be aware of the following changes to scheduling inspections starting on April 18:
Centralized Inspection Scheduling Takes Effect
Effective April 18, Fuel customers are required to contact TSSA’s inspection scheduling agents to schedule inspections through one of the followings ways:
• Email the Inspection Request Form to fuelsinspection@tssa.org;
OR
• Call the toll-free number 1-833-WFP-TSSA (1-833-937-8772) from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. (excluding public holidays) with the following information ready on hand:
- Work order number
- Type of inspection
- Preferred inspection date and time (subject to availability)
- Customer name
- Primary business address and/or billing address
- Inspection site address and contact
For changes to mailing or contact information, please email Intake@tssa.org the updated details and your account number.
Scheduling of Engineering Requests for Field Approval/Variances
Starting April 18, TSSA’s inspection scheduling agents will schedule engineering requests for Field Approval and Variances requiring the dispatch of an inspector. Upon receiving engineering approval, customers will be informed via email to contact the inspection scheduling team to arrange for an inspection.

Incident Reporting
Incident reporting across programs remains the same. Inform TSSA of all reportable incidents by calling 1-877-682-TSSA (8772) and choosing option 1 to reach the Spills Action Centre (open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week). For emergencies that require immediate assistance from the police, fire department or ambulance, please call 9-1-1.
