Renew Your Licence

All licences must be renewed annually with the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) in order to be considered valid and legal.

All licences must be renewed annually with the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) in order to be considered valid and legal.

Having a valid licence, registration or permit from the TSSA informs the public that businesses, facilities, contractors, operators, and devices are legally authorized to operate in a TSSA-regulated industry.

To renew your licence in one of the regulated industries below, you will need to submit the appropriate form with your renewal. If you do not see your regulated industry here, you can simply pay your renewal invoice via our payment portal.

NOTE: All fees and documentation must be submitted before the licence expiry date. If your license should go into lapse, please review our lapsed authorization policy. As a reminder, you are not to operate with an expired authorization. Please ensure that you also allow sufficient time for processing before your licence expires.

Fuels facilities and Propane Licences

As a part of your renewal, you may need to submit a Risk Safety Management Program (RSMP) Renewal Application. All changes made to the renewal application (if any) must also be submitted to the local fire services. You must submit all pre-requisites before your licence expires to avoid a shutdown order being issued.
