Upholstered & Stuffed Articles
 Our Upholstered and Stuffed Articles Program (USA) administers the Technical Standards and Safety Act to protect the public from potential hazards relating to the use of upholstered and stuffed articles sold in Ontario.
We ensure that domestic and foreign manufacturers, renovators and home hobbyists use only, new clean filling materials in articles. In addition, the contents of the filling are properly disclosed on the label for the public.
Our aim is to protect consumers against fraud misrepresentation of upholstered and stuffed articles and to provide a level playing field for manufacturers and retailers.
