Fuels Environmental Services
Improper storage and handling of fuel in above and underground storage tanks can result in potential environmental impact.
In Ontario, it's TSSA's job to ensure that environmental impacts from petroleum storage are properly remediated.
Environmental Services, in conjunction with TSSA's Fuels Safety program, promotes safe petroleum storage in order to protect the environmental in several ways:
- We ensure that a company's actions to deal with a petroleum leak or spill comply with proven and effective environmental requirements.
- We coordinate educational events on the province's fuel storage and handling requirements.
- We develop new programs for fuel storage to promote a healthier environment.
