National Registration

National Registration Service Guidelines - Fittings and Pressure Vessels
The National Registration Service is a voluntary service developed to assist applicants with the administration of design registration across Canada or in only selected provinces.

Fitting Registration
In order to proceed with the National Registration for your Fitting(s) Designs, we require the following documents:

A Completed TSSA National Registration Service Application form:
National Registration Application for Fittings or Pressure Vessels Application (PDF: 30 Kb )
Seven sets of Documentation (calculations/drawings)
Note: One set is for Ontario, the remaining six sets cover the remaining provinces, and territories.
Two original signed and notarized TSSA Statutory Declarations.
Two original signed and notarized Uniform Statutory Declarations. (These are only required if you are requesting registration for the Atlantic Provinces or the Territories).
Six copies of a valid Quality Program Certificate.
Two original signed and notarized ABSA Statutory Declarations. These are only required if you are requesting registration from Alberta.

Pressure Vessel Registration
In order to proceed with the National Registration for your Pressure Vessel Designs, we require the following documents:

A Completed TSSA National Registration Service Application form:
National Registration Application for Fittings or Pressure Vessels Application (WORD: 32 KB )
Thirteen sets of Drawings and seven sets of Calculations.
Note: Four sets of drawings require stamping by a Professional Engineer licensed in the Province of Ontario.

Fee Information
The estimated cost for design registration across Canada for Pressure Vessels and Single Fittings is $2,000.00, and for Multiple/Catalogue Fittings the estimated cost is $3,000.00 per Category. The estimated cost also includes the administration fee for the National Registration Service.

Invoicing will be issued once the review process has been completed for the Province of Ontario and will include the base rates for each of the requested provinces, in which registration is required. Some of the provincial fees are not fixed rates, and a second invoice will be issued to cover the differences.
