Quality Program Applicants
An application for a Certificate of Authorization requires the following documents to be submitted:
- A completed Certificate of Authorization application form
- The required deposit as shown on the application form
- A copy of the company approved Quality Program Manual
- The applicable completed checklist(s) document for the program manual from the list below
A survey date can only be confirmed after all of the documents listed have been received. In addition, a demonstration item on which the program can be seen in operation is required to demonstrate the quality program at the time of the TSSA shop or field site survey. The demonstration item may be work in progress or a demonstration job manufactured specifically for the survey. This often requires TSSA Inspector involvement on the demonstration item prior to the survey being performed. Please check this with your local TSSA Inspector.
Program Scope for Applicants: The scope of non-nuclear quality programs must be maintained to the latest Code effective date of applicable Codes and Standards at all times.
Nuclear quality programs permit the applicant to select a Code effective date which may be earlier than the latest edition of the Code or Standard currently available.
Where an applicant requests an earlier Code or Standard for their nuclear program scope instead of the latest editions that are available, the Certificate of Authorization is restricted to the earlier Code or Standard requested. Application Form
