Consumers Advisory Council
TSSA's Consumers Advisory Council (CAC) provides input to TSSA concerning the public's perspective on safety associated with TSSA's business procedures and regulatory activities. The Council assists TSSA in identifying public safety concerns and offering counsel to improve public safety education and consumer awareness.
Members of the Consumers Advisory Council attend Industry Advisory Council meetings to provide a consumer perspective to their deliberations.

TSSA Safety Education Research Graduate Scholarships
1. Request For Proposal RFP - TSSA Safety Education Research Graduate Scholarships Please Note: Applications are now closed for 2008.
2. Scholarship Awarded to Successful Candidates/Research Projects:
Timothy Hoi-Chi Hong - The research project is to develop standards for the design and manufacture of human factors principles influenced, improved human interface consoles for amusement rides, the intent to reduce mental workload and enable operators to perform with a reduced probability of error when operating ride operation consoles.
Andrew Novak - The research project intends to provide/enhance learning and support tools for amusement ride and other mechanical device inspectors based on the tactile or kinaesthetic perception. The tools are intended to replace the use of the checklists and manuals, which based on introductory research by the student/supervisor, were surveyed to be lesser preferred.
